Daytrips from Berlin There are many interesting places around Berlin that are definitely worth a visit. The guide books in the apartment, of course, give more details of excursions as well as sightseeing in Berlin. If you have time, or maybe on a return visit, we would recommend Potsdam (pretty old town, fabulous over-the-top palaces and parks - an hour away on the S-Bahn), Köpenick Old Town, Spreewald (waterways and forests – two hours away), Lutherstadt-Wittenberg (pretty old town centre, lots of history – about an hour away).
