Rural holiday let in restored farmhouse sleeps max. 14
Set in its own eight acres of terraced land, our 'cortijo' has wonderful views down towards the coast below and easy access to the mountains above. The surrounding hills are excellent walking country. The farmhouse is in a serene location among almond groves and 200-year old olive trees half way up the valley of Fuente Amarga. With fresh air and utter peace and quiet away from the packed “costas”.
The farmhouse is in the province of Almería, an area
within the region of Andalucia, the southernmost region of Spain. The
house is approx. 15 minutes from the small market town of Huércal-Overa
(all amenities) and 45 minutes from the coast at Mojácar (beach bars,
all amenities, diving, water sports). The local landscape is arid
semi-desert which certainly has its own beauty. The surrounding valleys
are covered with olive groves, almond, fig and pomegranate trees. (the farmhouse is top right in the photo!)
